Mary Gornall Memorial Short Story Competition
The Ashby Writers' Club is holding its regular Mary Gornall Memorial Short Story Competition, for previously unpublished and broadcast stories of up to 2,000 words. Entry fee is £3 per first manuscript and £2 for each following one. Closing date is 2 October 1998.

Lake Aske Open Poetry Competition
Poems may be up to 40 lines, must be previously unpublished. No identification must appear on the manuscript but name, address and poem title must be listed on a separate sheet. £2 per poem submitted. Entries to Competition Secretary, Adrian Buckner, 68 Russell Road, Forest Fields, Nottingham NG7 6GZ. Deadline 12 September 1998.

 

Speakeasy Creative Writing Competition
