Bill Herbert was born in Dundee in 1961 and now lives in Newcastle. He has published numerous books of poetry, most recently The Laurelude with Bloodaxe. He teaches Creative Writing at Lancaster University and is editing Book of the North, a CD-ROM project for New Writing North.
